These sods of Turf, or Peat, are harvested by hand from the bogs of County Clare. With USPS, order today and you will have these within 2-3 days.
The USPS priority LARGE box will be stuffed with naturally dried turf. Genuine Turf sods vary in size and are not all the same size. Approximately 12lbs.
This Turf/Peat is seasoned at least one year after being retrieved from the bog. Burning this product gives off a distinct aroma that is unique to the Irish Fireplace. Turf burns hotter than the same weight in wood and will burn longer. To get the most from your turf, burn in an open fireplace. Light the fire using wood or other fuels and when you are ready to settle down beside the fire add in 2 or 3 sods. Repeat as needed.
